Verified Reviewer |Ripped off on not 1 but 2 so called brand new engines for my truck
Ok I whent to a napa care facility to have my engine a complete engine to be replaced. First engine after the break in period shop did the oil change I drove it for less then a week and had a weird shake shop thought drive train but everything was tight traveled to Saskatchewan and the engine blew took it back to the shop.
I wate and water and call them 3 weeks later shop was sold in the middle of the warrenty exchange napa told me they don't have to honor the warrenty he say my eyes and realized I might hurt him so he said we will make something happen. Time goes by napa says that the company from Texas not Canada denied the warrenty but got me another so called brand new engine.
I get it back in the summer but only drive it in the winter so nice a week I'd run it and take it for short drives to keep everything lubed etc winter comes and I'm sooo low on rad fluid take it to the shop heads are toast cause there rebuilt garbage as I paid for brand new napa got tired to speaking to me so they passed me along to the company from Texas he says after a long time of conversations to pack up the heads with the gaskets and they will do a test says will take 6 weeks. Almost 7 weeks goes by I contact the company from Texas he says that I never sent the head gaskets and they did the so called test anyway and found nothing wrong I was blowing away how can they have a perfect test if there's no head gaskets he said my claim was denied I called him a lier and contacted to top guy at napa he was horrified by my story and sent new rebuilt garbage heads and fluid etc so drive my truck for one winter my truck is carbon locked my timing chain cover it leaking leaking a big amount of oil and has rust on all painted surfaces now my old original engine beating from 1997 had a small amount of tiny rust spots on the oil pan my new so-called oil pan it completely covered in rust along with both valve covers I'm so angry As I'm on disability this was the last of my cash to have finally a solid truck as everything else has been replaced was to be my last trustworthy truck before I die they stretched this out for 2 years So no warranty because the warranty is 6 months or 20,000 km what ever comes first I hate Napa there crooks never go to a Napa care center

NAPA Auto Repair OVER charging on there own Parts.
My daughter went to a Napa Auto Car Shop on Thomas Rd in Phoenix AZ and was charged $490 for Rear Struts, basically $245 each . But when I researched the price of the part , Part # 181312 it was only $111 each.
The part was at another local store . Why would NAPA whom Ive always felt was very reputable be charging $135 dollars more than the part is worth.
Very disappointed and upset for my daughter who is already struggling and relies on her vehicle to make money to provide for my grandchildren . Overall she paid almost three hundred more than she should have.
We will NEVER use Napa again and I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Do your research of parts and prices before paying for anything .
Not all NAPA Auto Care Center's are managed the same!

My son and I delivered a 1997 GMC pickup C 1500 to NAPA on 17 July 2019, work order number 10977. We requested two items to be fixed, engine backfire at low RPM with error code P1345, for cam/crank correlation.
The second item required inspection of the brake system because of soft-pedal.
There was never a diagnostic/preventative maintenance inspection performed on my son’s truck before and after maintenance because there was no scan tool in the shop at the time of maintenance.
After we picked up the truck on 18 July 2019 the truck ran worse than it did when we took it in the first day. Jim Dembiczak told my son that he would have to pay to get the engine retimed. I made a special trip back to the shop and spoke to Jim and technician that worked on the engine. That is when Kevin informed me that his scan tool was broken and wouldn’t be repaired for two weeks.
Jim didn’t know that they needed the scan tool, but he said he would talk to the owner and borrow one from another shop. Jim called me the next day and asked if I could bring the truck in to get it timed. My son and I came up before noon and watched them pull the truck in. I asked Jim if he could tell me when the last time the scan tool was updated.
He nor the technicians could answer my question. I felt that if they couldn’t check for updates, then they couldn’t operate the scan tool. I informed Jim to stop the operation and I was going to take the truck home. I asked to speak to the owner.
I have not received a phone call from: Rick Meadows – President.
I have tried to meet with Mr.
Rick Meadows at the Better Business Bureau of Colorado Springs with no response. I am now applying for dispute resolution Mediation: with the Better Business Bureau of Colorado Springs.
I had to take my vehicle to Ferguson GMC to repair the damage caused by (NAPA) Express Auto Repair. I never got a chance for Conciliation, Mediation, or Arbitration dispute resolution with the Colorado Springs BBB. The business owner sent my son a check for labor cost = $516.00.
The total bill was $935.59 It cost me $771.26 to correct the damage NAPA did to my truck. Only to have the BBB close case# 3704**** and not help me correct the business bad service.

Over Priced Parts and shop fees
I have emailed Napa Autocare Center two times about this and have not been called nor received an email back other than the template email that someone will get back to me.
Here are the details of a shop in Winston-Salem NC named "Rattle and Hum"
I see the sign NAPA car care center at a shop in this city. Is this a franchise or what? The name is Rattle and Hum. Do you stand behind their work? And if I have issue with a repair later while in another city can I take it to another NAPA car care center and the work be repaired there under a warranty? I understand SEARS auto service and others offer nationwide support of parts and labor. At times warranty from Rattle and Hum range from 90 days to 1 year and will printed on the receipt.
Also do these repair shops with these NAPA signs use the same parts and prices of the local NAPA parts store or is that business name NOT related to Car care centers?
If they are related will the part price charged by the Car center match the price of the local NAPA parts store?
I have experienced some repairs made by this shop to charge over 100% markup on parts that I can get at the same local NAPA parts store along with other high fees such as $25 for shop fees and $6 for hazard material disposal charges each visit no matter what the total bill.
I look forward to understanding more. My name is Jim

Poor service & moral character
I brought my truck to the Napa authorized shop in Sweet home Or. for a crank-no start condition.
After 3-4 weeks I picked up the truck and had to have it towed after it left me stranded at work 3 days later. They said they figured out that it was my injectors, and after another 5 weeks or so was told that it was repaired again. After a week of steadily declining performance, it would no longer start. I am out about $4k, they still have my truck, and I am pissed.
When a company misdiagnosed a problem, they should make it right.
I have been in sales, I have done the right thing, even at a loss to myself. I know if I used another shop, I would not be dealing with this.
My Motorhome is in one of your shops for an engine replacement under warranty.
Jan 2017 ICE AUTO REPAIR Hemet CA replaced my 7.5L ford engine in my Motorhome. The New Engine never ran correctly and I took it back several times.
They messed up the Carburetor adjustments so bad it would not pass smog and they had no one qualified to adjust it correctly. I paid a couple of hundred dollars at another smog shop and the engine still ran bad. At this time ICE really inspected the engine and said the engine was faulty and they would have to replace it under warranty that was May 30 2017. My motorhome has been in their shop halfway torn down ever since and they have not worked on it for the past 2 weeks.
The new engine is in a crate and the faulty engine [long block] still in vehicle. My Carb and other parts are laying around the shop and they are not working on my Motor home. When In call all I get is we are to busy or their Mechanic is not there or other #$%^&. I paid them $6000.00 for the engine and $1,300.00 for 7 tires and $289.
to get carb set up correctly.
I have filed a complaint with Ca Bureau of Automotive Repair June 19 2017.As this shop is member of Napa Auto Care I request that you help me. I'm 70 years old and have used Napa all my life I have always been treated fairly until now.

Napa Autocare Center - Customer Care Review
I want to Napa and I had purchased 5 battery I was bringing the old ones back for the core charge and I ask one of the sales person's in the back of the desk there if they could help me carry him in his words to me was I don't get paid enough to give customer service and help you bring in batteries in and the store manager Dan was standing there and kind of smiling and laughing I thought that was really unprofessional out of both of them and they both should be terminated 3604 Rome Hilliard Road Napa them are the ones
Warranty is not convenient or timely
Had my car worked on (Replaced fuel pump $375) and one week later the same problem came up. I checked pressure where the car broke down after repair and the fuel pressure was 8psi - should be 40psi.
I called the shop and they explained the Napa warranty - take the car to a Napa repair shop and they would cover the cost. I had to get the car towed there, the shop found other things to add plus the warranty repair. I had to drive all the way back to the shop to sign the warranty paper before they would submit to Napa to cover (what is this 1977? No electronic way for me to sign and email back?
Answer - "No") So I get that done on Friday morning. Car is done, waiting for an answer on warranty from Napa, Friday, all day Saturday.. finally on Monday I can pick up the car for an extra $421.
Next day, car breaks down. I will fix it myself like I should have to begin with.
Napa Autocare Center - Car Repair Review from Fort Worth, Texas
I had my car diagnoised by Napa Auto Care they told me what the problem was and cost to repair it. I had the work done then receive a call back to say it did not resolve the problem it could.be one or two other things that of course cost more.
I took my car there to get it repaired not trouble shooting. Defintely not the type of service I expected.
Want be using them again. Texarkana 75501 location
Napa Autocare Center - Repair Review from Albuquerque, New Mexico
If I had the opportunity to put absolutely no stars I most certainly would. I experienced the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life!
Daniel "the manager" was horrible. I set up an appt with them so they could fix an issue with my front driver wheel bearing. As I left and waited for my car to be done. I received a few calls from them the first was them trying to be *** artists and get more money out of me, my front passenger wheel bearing had been fixed a few days prior but not the driver side (they didn't know that) they lied and stated that same side needed repair as well, when I told him it didn't because of it getting fixed a couple day's prior, he felt pretty ***.
Furthermore, I have rims on my car which DO NOT require a key to remove ONLY a 9/16 measurement. Second time he called, he asked if I had the key in which I explained there is not one for the rims (apparently he got offended and felt I was trying to tell him how to do his job) and third call was him immediately getting on the phone and stating very rudely I just need to pick up my car now because he is absolutely sure it needs a key, and he hung up the phone. I went to the location and stated how poorly he was treating me, to actually find out that he had the appropriate tools to do it the WHOLE time but refused because he was mad that I told him MY rims don't require a key or whatever personal reason. I asked for him to take me to my car to show me what he was referring to and he refused and not only that, it was raining on this day, when I got back to my car the mechanics had my windows rolled down which could have damaged my upholstery.
Along this, he was very unprofessional and stated remarks that were absolutely unacceptable in which I recorded the conversation.
I will never go back to another NAPA center (this is also tied in with the NAPA auto care Center) again and suggest anyone reading to go take business elsewhere even if it cost a little more. It will be worth it.
Napa Autocare Center Car Repair Review from Norcross, Georgia
I have a Napa Easy Pay credit card and I called in to get my credit line raised by $200 because the NAPA auto care i've been using told me that I needed a couple pulleys for about $450. I was denied the amount so I went to another mechanic which was a friend of my sons and asking to please check my car out I was concerned about the noise it was making.
I said I've been told it's my transmission how are my power steering.
He had his tech check it out and it turned out to be my compressor on my air conditioner it's fixed cost me $500 and the sound is gone so I feel that that station it was going to rip me off for something I didn't eat because he took the police and there was nothing wrong with them and he said I told him I had new power steering pump and he said why. I went there because Napa is a very respected name but I'm starting to lose faith in Napa and out of service
Napa Autocare Center - Napa Autocare Service Review from Lincoln, Nebraska
I went to NAPA in hopes that they could help me figure out what might be wrong with my heat. I asked if they would my coming and looking and listening to see if it was the blower motor that went out before before I purchased the part.
The guy looked at me, laughed and said, "We don't have anything here to test that." I repeated myself and told him I'm did need a test, I just wanted help listening, it's under my dash, it can't be that hard to help. He then said, "I still don't have what I need to test it." He then says, "Is it a Chrysler?" I said, "It's a Dodge." He laughs again, "They're the same thing." I then said to him, "I'm sorry, I didn't know that and since you obviously have no desire to help, I'll take my business somewhere else, and I won't be returning here. Thank you and have a good day." I left and won't be back.
I was raised to try and help no matter what tools you had. This guy was not.
Auto Repair Shop Engages in Fraudulent Behavior
From 2/22/2015 - 2/25/2015 this past few days ago, I found a fluid leak - orange colored coming from underneath my truck. I drove my truck down to Napa AutoCare (Amerikar) , and spoke with Ninous (Nick) Sargony, aka Nick. Here is our conservation:
My response: "Nick my truck has a leak can you take it in and perform a diagnostic"
His response: "If you leave it with me for a few hours, I'll find the problem."
My response: "Okay and call me when possible".
His response: "I will"
After 2 hours passed, I decided to call him:
His response: "Well, it's a Timing Chain Cover Leak",
My response: "Okay, what is total cost, that is, can you estimate it?"
His response: "it will be between $1300-**** to complete the service and repair the problem. We have to drop the engine to get to the proble."
My response: "What do you think I can sell it for"
His response: "I'll check out Mitchell Price Guide and then said, "I'll give you $875.00."
I went home and checked out Kelley Blue Book online and according to their website my estimate was no more than $2900, so basically I could sell it for under $3k. I was thinking something just not sound right here, acccording to what Nick has quoted.
Next, I drove down to his center again and said Nick "You offered me $875.00 to buy my truck, but Kelley Blue Book price was higher than what he quoted. I don't understand the difference, he said Mitchell is for dealers and auto shops to obtain estimate. I said hmmm....it appeared to me that he deducted the amount to do the timing chain repair from the Mitchell price.
Based on my observation, his body language was showing signs of nervousness as I wrote notes down on my note pad. Then I said, hmmm...okay and you quoted me that the repairs would cost $1300-**** to drop the engine to perform a service to my timing chain cover, he then said, did I say that...let me check my notes.
Again, I could tell by the tone of his voice and his body motions that he was being a dishonest. Nick said," let me speak with my mechanic". He came back in and then said, it was a "rear main seal leak". He searched his computer system to find his written write up. His next response was our system purged my notes. That is not accurate, he must have a written record of the service he performed on my vehicle.
His story changed multiple times and at this time I became very very made because I gave him a chance to aplogize, but he continued to attempt to fabricate more lies to protect himself. I told him he is a lying - thieving, predator and will file a complaint against his unethical business practices.
He showed me the problem--it's a "radiator hose leak" as we both looked underneath my truck, "not a timing cover leak". I sold the truck to him and my neighbor said he will testify Nick Sargony's diagnostic is false. He even told me that once he repairs the hose problem, he will give it to me at evidence to validate our claim.
Note:
I researched the internet for complaints against his auto center and found similiar at http://www.yelp.com/biz/amerikar-turlock regarding customer complaints about him recommending unecessary auto repairs.
My observation: There is a pattern of unlawful, suspicious, and fraudulent business activity. He is engaging in unlawful/fraudulent business practices.
My action:
I am filing formal complaints against his auto center in an attempt to expose auto repair fraud and corruption. Please make note of this and inform friends and family not to take your vehicles to his establishment for auto repair. This man is a predator and I am reporting him to organizations that execute justice, upon finding this man guilty as charged.
Preferred solution: Almost frauded for $1500 in uneccessary repairs. This is fraud and has been reported to FTC, BAR, social media, sent emails to friends and family. It's over time to expose corruption. It's just getting started!!!

Took my car to them smoke was coming from under the hood. Was able to drive my car, however had it towed.
I told them just fix the smoking problem nothing else Kept the car for several days.Sent me a email owning SNAP credit 1,700+ I called them and said DON'T Repair told me they already did the repairs. When they delivered the car, drove around the block..Power steering making grinding noise, hard to steer, hood would not open. When I told them how upset because the car did not have that problem before.Jack offered to refund the charge once they get the money from SNAP Finance, then you can pay SNAP and forget this ever happened. NO I want you to fix the damage you caused.
I contacted Corporate that contacted them. They told me they would fix my car for free,Corporate told them. After keeping 5 days this 2nd time.Said twice they ordered power steering pump. The car is still the same now the breaks are loose, power steering still bad, scared to drive .
I said bring back my car to me. When they did gave me a statement Joe saying I was mean and nasty. Never come back.
Not true Joe is the mean and nasty and talks over you. Still owe the 1,700+..May have to take legal action against them. They have done the same to other customers, by reading the YELP reviews.
